Looks like I’ve got a new Corps Commander. Congratulations to MG Mark Milley on his selection as the III Corps CG and promotion to LTG. Milley replaces Gen Don Campbell, Jr. as he heads to Germany to take command of U.S. Army Europe and Seventh Army.
The U.S. Senate confirmed Maj. Gen. Mark A. Milley’s appointment to the rank of lieutenant general and his follow-on assignment as III Corps commander Dec. 3.

Milley relinquished command of the 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y., to Maj. Gen. Stephen J. Townsend during a change of command ceremony Dec. 3.
Prior to the outdoor ceremony, Milley will be promoted to lieutenant general in a ceremony in the West Atrium of the III Corps Headquarters.
